Entertainment for Our May 2023 Meeting
At our May meeting we were entertained by the band, ABAsonics.

Highlights for Our June 2023 Meeting

Our June meeting is where we have our annual Father's Day Obento for our members.
Our entertainment was provided by Mixd' Plate Band who performed Hawaiian music with some Japanese songs mixd' in.
We would also like to announce our newest board member, Doris Hasegawa who will be replacing Pat Gibo as recording secretary. Pat will now be the ways and means chair.
Your annual membership provides you with obento, three times a year.
Highlights for Our July 2023 Meeting
Our entertainment for the meeting was a performance by Calvin Yoshitake from the Magic Castle.

For our September 2023 meeting we had Pearl Omiya from East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center (ESGVJCC) in West Covina speak to our membership about a new program at ESGVJCC called Club Genki. We also received a slide presentation from Alan Regan from Premier Tours for our two upcoming trips on 2024.
Our domestic trip named, Western Frontiers will be a 9 day, 8 night trip highlighted by a visit to Heart Mountain Interpretive Center.
Our international trip will be a 9 day trip to the United Kingdom. Places of interest include Edinburgh, London, Cardiff, Wales, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Stonehenge and other major sites.
For our October 2023 meeting, we had Keven Chavez from the LA County Consumer & Business Affairs office speak to our membership. He talked about scams that target seniors along with scams and fraud in general. Afterwards he answered questions from which we had many asked of him. For those that had a question and would like to get more information regarding scams and fraud against seniors, please click on the LA County DCBA logo.
For our November 2023 meeting, we had Dr. Collin Liu talk to our members about Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Liu is a neurologist who specializes in Alzheimer's. He informed us on the medical advances, how to identify early signs and ways to help prevent the disease. Dr. Liu was also kind enough to take questions.

December 2023 Meeting Highlights
Our entertainment was provided by the band, Mix'd Plate. They played traditional and Hawaiian Christmas songs. Our "official" MPJASC hula dancers danced to the music for a few songs!
Following our entertainment, we distributed the Christmas obentos to our members.
